Hometown Stereo started playing together in central Alberta in 2017. Singer/songwriter cousins Mike Wiens and David Pedersen, along with childhood friend TJ Mackenzie, decided to have a go at starting a band. The three friends quit making excuses and started working towards their shared passion. Jason Allen filled in for an open mic and never left. His musical talent and dedication to the band have kept things moving forward. Stirling John and David met when David came upon his Kijiji add. They became good friends and he was a perfect fit with Hometown Stereo. He added a huge vocal range that brings a sparkle to the bands sound. Stirling also has a passion to use music to work with indigenous communities and shed light on important issues.
Their debut album - The Good Life - was released in September of 2018. The band has been gaining traction with good gigs and festival spots coming up. Their live show is fun, dynamic, and meaningful.
